Swedish Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients
4 oz. butter
6 oz. plain flour
4 oz. soft brown sugar
2 oz. cornflour
2 tblspns, golden syrup
level tspn, bakingpowder
2 level tspns. powdered cinnamon
4 level tspns. ground ginger
2 level tspns. ground cloves
2 oz. chopped blanched almonds
Directions
Beat the butter and sugar together till light and fluffy; add the golden syrup.
Sift flour, cornflour, baking powder and spices together; fold in the creamed mixture with the nuts.
Shape mixture into 2 rolls and wrap in grease- proof paper; leave in a cool place.
When chilled through, cut into thin slices, put onto greased baking sheets and bake in a moderate oven (375° F) for about 10 minutes.
