Swedish Punch Recipe
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
Brown sugar or raw sugar to taste (optional)
2 whole cinnamon sticks, each about 3 inches long
6 whole cardamom pods, crushed
1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
1 tablespoon butter
Wedges of fresh, unpeeled grapefruit, studded with whole cloves
Directions
Combine cranberry juice, sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, and allspice.
Refrigerate overnight to blend flavors, if you wish.
Bring to boil.
Simmer 5 minutes.
Strain.
Add butter, stirring until melted.
Pour into serving cups, and decorate rims of the cups with wedges of grapefruit, each studded with several whole cloves.
