Quick Baked Swedish Meatballs Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound ground beef round steak | ||
| Ground pork | 1/2 pound | |
| 1/2 cup instant mashed potatoes | ||
| 1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs | ||
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Brown sugar | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Allspice | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Cloves | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Ginger | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
. 1. Mix ground meats in a large bowl. Add potatoes, 1/2 cup bread crumbs, egg, and a mixture of the salt, pepper, brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg, cloves and ginger; mix lightly.
2. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll balls in remaining bread crumbs. Put meatballs into a 2-quart glass baking dish. Cover with waxed paper.
3. Cook in microwave oven 6 to 8 minutes at BAKE, or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked; rotate dish one-half turn once.
