Swedish Meat Balls Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pound finely ground beef | ||
| Dry bread crumbs | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Milk | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1/2 Small, grated | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Bacon drippings or fat for deep frying | ||
| 1/4 cup hot water, bouillon or wine | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. Mix all the ingredients together and shape into 36 1.5 inch diameter balls. Take a heavy skillet with bacon drippings or hot fat, add the balls and on low heat, allow them to turn golden brown.
2. Pour in 1/4 cup hot water, bouillon or wine, cover firmly and allow to simmer for 20 minutes.
SERVING
3. Serve on toothpicks.
