Ingredients

 
3 1/4 pounds beef chuck
 
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
 
2 teaspoons salt
 
1 teaspoon white pepper
 
2 teaspoons juniper berries, crushed
 
5 small onions, peeled and halved
 
1 3/4 ounces margarine
 
2 cups beef stock
 
2 tablespoons cheese, grated
 
2 tablespoons black currant jelly
 
1/4 cup heavy cream

Directions

1. Cut meat into small pieces and turn in a mixture of flour, salt, pepper, and juniper berries.
2. Brown meat in margarine in frying pan. Remove from pan.
3. Add meat to onions in a pot and bring to boil with the beef stock. Let meat and onions simmer about 1 1/2 hours.
4. Add jelly, cream, and cheese.
