Swanky Flanky Steak Recipe
Ingredients
| MARINADE | ||
| Beef broth | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| 1/3 cup each balsamic vinegar and reduced-sodium soy sauce | ||
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Garlic | 3 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |
| 3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard with horseradish | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
| Dried basil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon each dried oregano and dried thyme and dried sage | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Flank steak | 1 pound | |
Directions
1. Marinade: Combine all marinade ingredients in sealable plastic food-storage bag. Seal and shake to mix. Place steak in bag. Shake and mix. Place in refrigerator and let marinate 1 to 8 hours.
2. Preheat broiler. Lift meat from marinade. Discard marinade. Place meat on broiler-pan rack.
3. Broil steak, 5 to 6 inches from heat source, about 3 minutes per side (rare) or 4 minutes per side (medium).
4. Remove meat to cutting board. Let stand 10 minutes. Thinly slice across grain on a diagonal.
