Surprise Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 crusty bread rolls | ||
| Butter | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| 1/4 lb smoked mackerel fillet | ||
| Baked beans | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Cut the top off each roll and carefully remove the crumbs inside to form a hollow roll.
Roughly chop the crumbs.
Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the crumbs until crisp.
Skin the mackerel and flake the fish.
Add to the pan with the beans, salt and pepper.
Mix well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
Spoon the mixture into the rolls, replace the tops and serve immediately.
Cooking time: 8 to 10 minutes
