| Yogurt | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Kasoori methi | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Ginger paste | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Green chili paste | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Mustard seeds | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Turmeric powder | 1 Pinch | |
| Coriander powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Asafoetida | 1 Pinch | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon (to taste) | |
| Sugar | 1 Teaspoon (to taste) | |
| Whole red dry chili | 1 Medium |

Directions
1. Peel and boil yam in a cup of water and drain.
2. Into a bowl add the yam, yogurt, ginger paste, green chili paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, sugar to taste and salt to taste and mash well with a potato masher.
3. In a pressure cooker pot heat oil and temper mustard seeds, dry red chili, asafoetida and kasoori methi and stir.
4. Add the suvaran mixture and let it simmer for about 2 -3 minutes.
SERVING
5. Serve with rotis or rice.
