Superb Cheese Apple Pie Recipe
Ingredients
| Pastry for 9" two-crust pie | ||
| Granulated Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablesp. flour | ||
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Sharp cheddar cheese | 1 Cup (16 tbs), Processed | |
| Apples | 5 Cup (16 tbs), cored | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 3 tablesp. heavy cream | ||
Directions
Start heating oven to 425°F.
Line 9" pie plate with pastry; roll out top crust.
Combine sugar, flour, salt, and 2/3 cup cheese.
Sprinkle half of mixture in lined pie plate; heap apples on top; sprinkle with lemon juice.
Cover with rest of sugar mixture, 1/3 cup cheese, and cream; adjust top crust.
Bake 45 min., or until apples are tender.
