Super Duper Chocolate Pecan Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

 
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
 
1/3 cup peanut butter
 
1/3 cup granulated sugar
 
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
 
1 egg
 
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
 
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
 
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chunks or 4 semisweet chocolate bars (3 ounces each), cut into squares
 
1 cup pecan halves, cut into pieces

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Lightly grease two cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Cream butter, peanut butter, sugars, egg and vanilla in large bowl until light.
Blend in flour and baking soda.
Scoop out about 1/3 cupfuls of dough to form 12 balls.
Place on prepared cookie sheets, spacing about 4 inches apart.
Press each cookie to flatten slightly.
Press chocolate chunks and pecan pieces into cookies, dividing them equally.
Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until firm in center.
Remove to wire racks to cool.
