Sunflower Seed Walnut Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Oil | 350 Milliliter | |
| Honey | 350 Milliliter | |
| Eggs | 6 | |
| Baking powder | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Plain flour | 675 Gram | |
| Vanilla essence - a few drops | ||
| Orange rind | 2 Tablespoon, grated | |
| Orange juice | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Unsweetened coconut | 50 Gram | |
| Sunflower seeds | 50 Gram | |
| Walnuts | 50 Gram | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven to 325°Fahrenheit (160°c / Gas Mark 3)
2 Grease two 23 x 33-cm (9 x 13-inch) tins.
MAKING
3 For the bottom layer, in a bowl mix half the oil, a third of the honey, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons baking powder, half the flour and the vanilla essence together.
4 Pat the mixture in to the prepared tins.
5 To prepare the topping, in a bowl, beat 4 eggs with the remaining ingredients.
6 Evenly pour over the bottom layer.
7 Bake in the oven for about 45 minutes.
8 Allow to cool.
SERVING
9 Cut into squares and serve.
