Sunflower Seed Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Packed brown sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Granulated Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Quick cooking oats | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), rolled | |
| Whole wheat flour | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 3/4 cup shelled sunflower seed | ||
Directions
Cream together butter and sugars.
Add egg and vanilla; beat well.
Combine oats, flour, soda, and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Stir in sunflower seed.
Shape dough into 2 rolls, each about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper or clear plastic wrap; chill thoroughly.
Slice 1/4 inch thick and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.
