Raisin Nut Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 lb. self-raising flour | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Mixed spices | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Nuts | 2 Ounce, chopped | |
| 4 1/2 oz. Sun Seedless Raisins | ||
| Margarine | 4 Ounce | |
| Granulated Sugar | 6 Ounce | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
Directions
Grease and flour a loaf tin, 9 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.
Sieve together first three ingredients and add the nuts and raisins.
Cream the margarine and sugar thoroughly and add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition, and bake in the prepared tin in a moderate oven (350°F.) for about 1- 1 1/4 hours.
