Sukiyaki Recipe
Ingredients
| Beef - 1 pound, round steak, thinly sliced across grain | ||
| Crisco | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Celery - 2 cups , cut in 1-inch pieces | ||
| Spinach | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onions | 2 | |
| Green onions | 1 Bunch (100gm) | |
| Mushrooms | 8 Ounce, sliced | |
| Bamboo shoots | 2 Can (10oz) | |
| Beef boullion cube - 1 | ||
| Hot water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat Crisco
2 Add in beef and cook until tender but not browned.
3 Add celery, spinach, onions, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots.
4 Cook, covered for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5 In a bowl, dissolve boullion cube in the hot water.
6 Mix with soya sauce and sugar.
7 Stir into the meat mixture.
8 Cook for another 15 minutes.
SERVING
9 Excellent with hot cooked rice.
