Directions

Beat eggs until very light.
Gradually beat in sugar and beat until thick and light in color.
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and allspice; fold gradually into egg mixture.
Fold in rind, raisins, apricots, prunes and walnuts.
Pour into a greased, 9 by 14-inch pan.
Bake in a slow oven (300° F) about 40 minutes.
Cool.
Cut into bars or squares.
Roll in confectioners' sugar.
