Sugar plum Ring Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 recipe Sugarplum Bread | ||
| Sugar | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| California walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
Directions
Prepare dough as directed for Sugarplum Bread.
Let double (2 hours).
Punch down; divide in half.
Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
For Sugarplum Ring, pinch off balls of dough about 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
Combine the sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
Dip tops of balls in melted butter or margarine, then in the sugar mixture.
Place balls in layers in 2 greased 5 1/2 cup ring molds.
Cover and let rise till double.
Bake in a moderate oven (350°) about 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool slightly before removing from the pans.
