Sugar N Spice Spirals Recipe

Directions
1. Thaw puff pastry according to package directions. Sprinkle a work surface with 1/2 cup granulated sugar, top with puff pastry, and sprinkle top with remaining 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Roll out dough into an 11 x 14-inch rectangle.
2. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. Brush surface of pastry with beaten egg, being careful not to let any drip down sides. Sprinkle with sugar mixture. Cut into 3 1/2 x 1-inch strips, twisting each to make a spiral. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 15 minutes.
3. Preheat oven to 400°F. Line 2 cookie sheets, preferably insulated, with parchment paper or foil.
4. Place spirals on prepared cookie sheets, pressing ends of each strip down firmly to keep from untwisting. Bake 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove to a rack and let cool completely.
