Sugar Cookies Recipe Video
Sugar Cookies are wonderful sweet and crisp cookies. They are an American favorite and although they were once made primarily during the Christmas season, they are now a year round favorite. The Sugar Cookies are delicious whether sprinkled with the coloured sugar or frosted with a royal icing.
Ingredients
1/2 cup soy margarine
1 cup sugar
vegan replacer for 1 egg
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
Icing Ingredients:
1 package of powdered sugar
5 tbsp soy milk
Directions
1) In a large bowl add the soy margarine, sugar and vegan replacer for 1 egg. Stir well to combine.
2) Stir in the flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla, mix well.
3) On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut out various shapes.
4) Place them on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 375 Degree F for 10 minutes.
5) In a bowl, place the powdered sugar, add the soy milk and mix until smooth.
6) Spread the icing over the cookies when the cookies are cool.
