Ingredients
Beef heart - 1
Onion - 1/2 tbsp, chopped
Celery - 1 tbsp, chopped
Melted butter - 3 tbsp
Bread crumbs - 1 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1/4 tsp
Parsley - 1 tsp, chopped
Flour - 2 tbsp
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven
2. Clean heart.
MAKING
3. Sauté onion and celery in butter; add crumbs, seasonings, parsley and 2 tablespoons water. Fill heart; tie with string.
4. Place in baking dish with 1 cup water. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 3 hours, basting occasionally.
5. Remove heart from baking pan. Stir flour into pan juices; cook until gravy is thickened, stirring constantly. Add seasonings, if needed.
SERVING
6. Serve hot with the sauce
