Stuffed Pomfret Recipe
Yummy and nutritious Stuffed Pomfret is frequently made at home. This tasty seafood treat is one of my favorite dishes. Try this brilliant Stuffed Pomfret recipe!
Ingredients
4 medium size pomfret
200 gms onion
50 gms ginger
50 gms garlic
5/6 green chillies
1/2 coconut (grated)
100 gms coriander leaves
1 small ball tamarind, little oil, turmeric powder,
Salt to taste.
Directions
Wash and clean the fish.
Slit open the fish lengthwise without touching head and tail.
Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder.
Keep aside for 10 minutes.
Grind (1)Grated coconut, coriander leaves, chillies and tamarind.
(2) Ginger, garlic and onion separately.
Heat oil.
Fry onion, garlic, ginger, paste.
Fry till it is golden brown.
Cool and add it to coconut paste.
Add salt to taste.
Divide this masala into 4 parts.
Now take a fish, stuff one part of the masala in the fish.
Do same for all four fishes.
Then either fry both the sides in a non-stick pan or bake in an oven.
With the same masala you can make stuffed fish cutlets, bread rolls, ortikka.
