Ingredients

 
Jalapenos - 4 to 6
 
Crunchy peanut butter - 2 tablespoon
 
Mango - 2 tablespoon, finely chopped
 
Fresh Parsely - 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
 
Salt - to taste
 
Chikpeas flour - as required
 
Oil - as required

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Slit the jalapenos and carve out the seeds.

MAKING
2) In a bowl, combine the chopped mangoes, crunchy peanut butter, parsely and salt together; blend well.
3) Stuff the jalapenos with the mango mixture and set aside.
4) In a bowl, make a batter out of chikpea flour and coat the stuffed jalapenos with the batter.
5) In a frying pan, deep fry the jalapenos until they turn golden brown.

SERVING
6) Serve the stuffed jalapenos with tea infused mangoes or as desired.

When you go to the Indian market to buy Besan/chickpea flour you'll have to pick up mango powder (Amchoor). Also Anardana (pomegranate Powder) is a fabulous Indian ingredient. It is also used to sprinkle on hummus and other Middle Eastern dishes, not just Indian. Another must is Kashmiri Mirch-it is a lovely not too pungent chile powder. Hahaha....those even I dont have ...and I cook indian food almost everyday. You will have to go to an indian store for that :) Mango powder is called as Amchor (which means raw mango powder), you can get it with where the rest of the spices are kept.

Thanks Petal! I actually do have all of those spices in my cupboard! I just watched the puff pastry with mango powder and onion seeds. Now those are two spices that are NOT available at the local grocery store!

Basic stuff - you can get from any indian store in your neighborhood Utensils: Pressure cooker, can be bought from anywhr. Most of the indian lentils (daals) are pressure cooked Spices: Cumin seeds (jeera) Red Chilli powder Ginger/garlic Curry powder Turmeric Garam Masala ( a blend of indian spices ground together) If you have just these, you can pretty much make 90% of indian dishes :) They are readily available in indian stores or whole foods. And will cost you like 2 dollars each for a big jar (whole foods might be more expensive). Happy cooking!

Any Indian market will carry it. It is the flour used on Pakoras and has a wonde3rful flavour. Maybe even health food stores if they carry bulk should have it, oh and I bet Whole Foods would carry it.
