Acorn squash- 1
 
Onion- 1 teaspoon, chopped
 
Green pepper- 1 teaspoon, finely chopped
 
Butter- 2 tablespoons
 
Cheese- 1/2 cup, grated
 
Soft bread crumbs- 1 cup
 
Salt and pepper- to taste

Directions

GETTING READY
1.Start by preheating the oven to 400F degrees
MAKING
2.Bake squash in hot oven for 35 minutes or until tender
3.Now cut it lengthwise into halves, discard seeds and scoop out center, leaving shells about 1/4 inch thick
4.Mash pulp and add remaining ingredients.
5.Pile in squash shells and place in moderate oven (350° F.) to brown tops
