Stuffed Spareribs Recipe
These stuffed spare ribs is a fruited spareribs recipe. Spiced with cinnamon with brown sugar to taste, the stuffed spare ribs are filled with prunes and apples and roasted in the oven to finish.
Ingredients
4 to 5 cooking apples
Salt
1 box prunes
Pepper
2 strips lean spareribs
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
Directions
Pare apples, core, and cut into thick slices.
Cook in a small amount of water until almost tender.
Drain.
Cook prunes according to package directions.
Drain and remove pits.
Place one strip of the spareribs in a shallow roasting pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Spread the cooked apples over the ribs evenly.
Cover with prunes, then sprinkle with a little brown sugar, cinnamon, and more salt.
Place second strip of ribs on top and link edges together, here and there, with skewers.
Bake in a preheated 325° oven for about 2 hours or until fork pierces the meat easily.
