Stuffed Onions Recipe
Ingredients
| Onions | 10 Medium | |
| Mushrooms | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| Bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Dash of nutmeg | ||
| White sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |

| Butter | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Peel onions and parboil in boiling, salted water.
Drain and cool.
Carefully scoop out the center part of each onion.
Chop very fine with half of its quantity of chopped mushrooms.
Put in a saucepan with bread crumbs, butter, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
Add white sauce.
Mix well.
Stuff the center of each onion with this mixture.
Place onions in a buttered baking dish.
Sprinkle tops with bread crumbs, putting a small pat of butter on top of each onion.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Serves 6 to 8.
