Stuffed Meatloaf Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 8-ounce package dried stuffing mix | ||
| Stewed tomatoes | 1 1 pound | |
| Chuck | 2 Pound | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Mushrooms | 3 Large | |
| Butter or margarine | ||
| Chili sauce | ||
Directions
1. Combine 1 cup stuffing mix with 1 cup stewed tomatoes, chuck, and egg.
2. Prepare rest of stuffing mix as package label directs for entire package of dry, crumbly stuffing, using rest of stewed tomatoes as part of liquid.
3. Start heating oven to 425°F.
4. Put half of meat in 8-by-8-by-2-inch baking pan. Top with all of stuffing; then dot top with rest of meat mixture.
5. Bake 30 minutes.
6. Meanwhile, slice mushrooms in thirds; saute in a little butter. Lay on meat as pictured. Serve in squares; pass heated chili sauce.
