Stuffed Hot Dogs Recipe
Ingredients
| Tomato sauce | 1 Can (10oz) | |
| 1 tablespoon instant coffee, powder or crystals | ||
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Frankfurters | 1 pound | |
| Green onions | 8 , trimmed | |
| Bacon Slices | 8 | |
Directions
1. Mix tomato sauce, instant coffee and sugar in a small saucepan.
2. Split each frankfurter length wise; brush inside with part of the sauce mixture, then place a green onion in each. Wrap with a bacon slice; fasten with wooden picks. (Soak picks in water first to keep them from charring.) Place on grill about 6 inches above hot coals.
3. Grill, turning and brushing often with more sauce, 20 minutes, or until bacon is crisp. Serve them in toasted frankfurter buns, if you wish.
