Stuffed Gammon Steak with Apple Rings Recipe
Ingredients

| Juice 1 lemon | ||
| 6 oz. soft breadcrumbs | ||
| Raisins | 3 Ounce | |
| Peanuts | 3 Ounce, chopped | |
| Golden syrup | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 slices gammon, 1/2-inch thick cloves | ||
| Parsley | ||
Directions
Core, but do not peel eating apples.
Slice crosswise into 1/4-inch rings and soak in lemon juice to keep colour.
Combine breadcrumbs, raisins, chopped peanuts, syrup, mustard and butter or margarine.
Chop 3 apple slices coarsely and add to mixture.
Cut the fat around gammon steaks to prevent curling and place 1 slice of gammon in greased shallow baking dish.
Spread stuffing liberally over gammon and top with second slice.
Stick whole cloves in fat.
Bake in centre of a very moderate oven (350°F - Gas Mark 3) for about 1 hour.
Baste several times with melted butter or margarine.
