Stuffed Cauliflower Recipe
Stuffed Cauliflower is a great appetizer. I have tired Stuffed Cauliflower recipe and believe me it had turned out to be a great hit.
Ingredients
1 medium sized cauliflower
1/3 pint milk
1 small onion sliced very thinly
1 oz. breadcrumbs new potatoes
2 oz. margarine or butter
1 oz. flour
4 or 5 chopped mushrooms
3 oz. grated cheese
Seasoning
Parsley
Directions
Cook the cauliflower whole in boiling salted water until just soft.
Cut a piece off the bottom if necessary, to make sure it stands firm.
Scoop out part of the centre and chop it finely.
Heat 1 oz. margarine, add the flour and cook for several minutes, then gradually add the milk.
Bring to the boil, cook until thickened, add seasoning and 2 oz. cheese.
Fry onion and mushrooms in the remainder of margarine until soft, stir in crumbs, chopped cauliflower and enough sauce to bind.
Press in centre of cauliflower.
Pour rest of sauce over the top, sprinkle with the rest of the cheese.
Put in a moderately hot oven (400° F.€”Gas Mark 5) for 15 minutes until golden brown.
