Stroganoff Recipe
Serve this Stroganoff in a sauce with sour cream. Stroganoff is a real lovely way of cooking beef. Once you make it you will make it again!
Ingredients
2 pounds flank or round steak
Salt and pepper
1 onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can mushrooms, drained
2 cups beef bouillon or broth
1 tablespoon catsup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup dairy sour cream
Directions
Slice beef into 1/4 inch strips about 2-inches long.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and place in crock cooker.
Mix together remaining ingredients except flour, butter, and sour cream, and stir it in with the beef.
Cover and cook at Low for 6 to 8 hours.
Set cooker to High, and stir in flour and butter which have been blended together.
Stir until thickened.
Turn off heat and, after a few minutes, stir in sour cream.
