String Bean Vinaigrette Recipe
Ingredients
| Green string beans - 1/2 pound, trimmed | ||
| Yellow string beans - 1/2 pound, trimmed | ||
| Sweet red pepper - 1 large, halved, seeded and thinly sliced into 1/4-inch-wide strips | ||
| Green onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Chives | 2 Tablespoon, snipped | |
| Red wine vinegar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Olive oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), finely chopped | |
| Chili powder | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Almonds | 3 Tablespoon, sliced | |
Directions
MAKING
1) Take a saucepan and boil the water.
2) Add the green and yellow beans and cook for 5 minutes.
3) Drain the peas and keep in a bowl. Cover the bowl and allow it to chill.
4) Mix the green onion, chives, vinegar, oil, garlic and chili powder in a jar.
5) Shake all the ingredients well and pour over the vegetables.
6) Toss them well.
SERVING
7) Sprinkle almonds before serving the dish.
