Ingredients

 Green string beans - 1/2 pound, trimmed
 Yellow string beans - 1/2 pound, trimmed
 Sweet red pepper - 1 large, halved, seeded and thinly sliced into 1/4-inch-wide strips
 Green onion1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced
 Chives2 Tablespoon, snipped
 Red wine vinegar2 Tablespoon
 Olive oil1 Tablespoon
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), finely chopped
 Chili powder1/8 Teaspoon
 Almonds3 Tablespoon, sliced

Directions

MAKING
1) Take a saucepan and boil the water.
2) Add the green and yellow beans and cook for 5 minutes.
3) Drain the peas and keep in a bowl. Cover the bowl and allow it to chill.
4) Mix the green onion, chives, vinegar, oil, garlic and chili powder in a jar.
5) Shake all the ingredients well and pour over the vegetables.
6) Toss them well.

SERVING
7) Sprinkle almonds before serving the dish.
