String Bean Salad Recipe
Ingredients
| String beans - 1 can (16-ounce) or freshly cooked, drained | ||
| Pimiento | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Chives/onions/ or pearl onions - 1/4 cup, chopped | ||
| FRENCH DRESSING | ||
| Tomato juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| White vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion flakes | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic powder | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1) FOR THE FRENCH DRESSING: Take a bowl and combine all ingredients in it. Chill for several hours.
2) Take a bowl and place pimiento and beans in it. Add French Dressing and mix together. Place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours.
3) Add onion and mix thoroughly.
SERVING
4) Line a salad bowl with lettuce and spoon out the salad on it. Serve immediately.
