Streuselkuchen Recipe
Ingredients

| Margarine | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| Unsifted flour | 2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Melt shortening in saucepan - remove and add sugar.
Mix, and add unbeaten eggs, and mix well.
Add flour (add baking powder with last cup of flour).
Mix by hand to a round ball.
Lightly grease a jellyroll pan 11 1/2 X 18 - or spray with Pam.
Break off small pieces of dough and press them onto the pan to cover layer must be thin.
FILLING: Using the slice size of a grater, grate 7 or 8 medium size apples.
Lay them on top of the dough. (In season the Italian prune plums are excellent instead of apples).
Streusel Topping: .
1 1/2 cups margarine - bring to boil in medium pan and add 2 cups sugar.
Remove from heat and mix.
Add 2 cups of flour and mix.
Crumble with fingers and sprinkle over fruit to cover.
Cook on middle rack at 300° until apples are just tender - broil a minute or two to lightly brown and crisp the topping.
