Strawberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Few grains salt | ||
| Lemon juice | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Orange juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 pts. strawberries, washed and hulled | ||
Directions
Combine water, sugar, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Stir in lemon and orange juices.
Bring rapidly to boiling, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
Skim off foam and boil for 5 minutes.
Add strawberries and boil 1 minute longer.
Cool and chill.
Serve over thick slices of pound or angel food cake.
