Dissolve 1 package strawberry-flavored gelatin in 1 cup hot water.
Add 1/2 cup cold water; stir.
Cut 1 pint of vanilla ice cream in 6 chunks; add to gelatin mixture.
Stir till ice cream melts.
Chill till mixture mounds slightly when dropped from spoon (20 to 30 minutes).
Gently fold in 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries.
Pour into cooled 9 inch Coconut Crust.
Chill till firm, about 20 to 25 minutes.
