Strawberry Crumb Pie Recipe
Ingredients
6 cups halved fresh strawberries
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 Cup quick cooking tapioca
Pastry for High Collared
1 Crust Pie
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Directions
Toss strawberries with sugar and tapioca; set aside.
Prepare pastry, reserving about 1/2 cup crumbs for topping, and make the pie shell.
Turn strawberry mixture into shell.
Cut an 8-inch round of aluminum foil and lay over filling.
Bake at 400T 35 minutes.
Meanwhile, blend reserved flour mixture with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Remove foil and sprinkle flour mixture evenly over pie.
Continue baking 25 minutes, or until crust and topping are browned.
Cool on wire rack.
