Strawberry Whip Recipe

| 1/2 kg. / 1 lb. strawberries | ||
| 900 ml. / 1 1/2 pints milk | ||
| 225 g. / 8 oz. ice-cream | ||
| 50 g. / 2 oz. sugar | ||
| 2.5 ml. / 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence | ||
| Ice cubes | ||
| 75 ml. / 3 fl. oz. double cream, whipped | ||
| 4 whole strawberries to garnish | ||
Directions
Rub the strawberries through a strainer into a bowl.
Beat in the milk, ice-cream, sugar and vanilla essence.
Alternatively mix to a puree in an electric blender.
Put some ice cubes into each of four tall glasses.
Pour over the pureed mixture and top with a generous swirl of cream.
Put one strawberry on the top of each glass.
