2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sour milk

1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt.
2. Using a pastry cutter chop in the shortening until mixture is crumbly.
3. Add milk, and mix just enough to moisten.
4. Spread dough in a greased cake tin.
5. Sprinkle top with sugar, and bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
