Strawberry Luscious Recipe
Ingredients
| Graham cracker crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Confectioner’s sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Granulated Sugar | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Strawberries | 1 Pint, cut in half | |
| Whipping cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chilled | |
| Confectioner’s sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Vanilla | 1/2 Teaspoon |
Directions
Mix crumbs, 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar and the butter thoroughly.
Press mixture firmly and evenly in bottom of ungreased square pan, 8 X 8 X 2 inches or divide mixture among 6 to 8 dessert dishes and press in bottoms and halfway up sides of dishes.
Refrigerate while preparing topping.
Beat egg whites in small mixer bowl until foamy.
Beat in granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time; continue beating until stiff and glossy.
Do not underbeat.
Spread meringue evenly over crumb mixture in pan.
Top meringue with strawberry halves, reserving a few halves for garnish.
In chilled bowl, beat whipping cream, 3 tablespoons confectioners' sugar and the vanilla until stiff.
Spread over strawberries.
Garnish with reserved berries.
