Strawberry Freezer Jam Recipe
Ingredients
| Strawberries - 575 gms or 1 1/4 lb , crushed | ||
| Caster sugar | 900 Gram | |
| Lemon juice - 2 x 5 ml spoons or 2 teaspoons | ||
| Liquid fruit pectin - 1/2 bottle | ||
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, put the crushed strawberries.
2 Blend in the sugar and lemon juice.
3 Set aside in a warm place for about 1 hour until the sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally.
4 Stir in the liquid pectin, mixing for 2 minutes.
5 Into small dry containers or freezerproof jars, spoon the mixture.
6 Cover with a foil.
7 Allow to stand in a warm place for 48 hours.
8 Seal the containers or jar, label them and freeze.
SERVING
9 Thaw at room temperature for 4 hours.
10 Serve as desired.
TIP
11 Store in the refrigerator once opened.
