Strawberry Cake With Strawberry Frosting Recipe Video
Ingredients
FOR CAKE:
White Cake Mix - 1 box
Strawberry Jell-O - 1 large box
Vegetable Oil - 1/2 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Eggs - 4
Frozen Strawberries - 2 (10 oz.) packages, drained and reserve the liquid
ICING:
Confectioner's Sugar - 1 box (1 pound)
Butter - 3/4 stick, softened
Reserved Strawberry Juice - 1/2 cup
Directions
GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 325° F/ 170°C.
2. Spray a 9X13 inches baking pan with cooking spray or grease and dust with flour.
MAKING
3. Mix together cake mix and Jell-O.
4. Add oil and water and mix well.
5. Add eggs, one at a time.
6. Beat at a slow speed.
7. Stir in the strawberries.
8. Pour this into the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick or cake tester comes out clean when inserted in the middle of the cake.
9. Cool completely.
10. For the icing, blend sugar, softened butter and reserved strawberry juice with a mixer.
11. Spread over the cooled cake and refrigerate.
12. Garnish with strawberries, if desired.
