Strawberries With Cream Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 cup (60 mL) sugar
1/4 cup (60 mL) water or apple juice
2 tbsp (30 mL) of a liqueur of your choice (optional)
A few drops of rose water
4 to 6 cups (1 to 1.5 L) fresh strawberries
Directions
Place the sugar, water or apple juice in a micro wave-safe measuring cup.
Microwave 2 minutes at MEDIUM-HIGH, stirring once.
Add to the hot syrup the liqueur of your choice and a few drops of rose water; if you wish, omit the liqueur and use only the rose water.
Mix well.
Pour the hot syrup over the strawberries.
Stir gently, preferably with your hands.
Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
