Strawberries Over Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

Hot Fudge Sauce
 
3/4 cup good-quality cocoa
 
1 cup sugar
 
1 cup evaporated milk
 
1/2 cup light corn syrup
 
1/2 cup butter or margarine
 
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
 
20 large, firm strawberries, washed, hulls intact
 
4 bamboo skewers, soaked in water 10 minutes, drained
 
4 double scoops strawberry ice cream

Directions

Thread strawberries on skewers.
Preheat stovetop grill.
Cook berries over medium heat, just to warm them, about 30 seconds on each side.
Do not let berries become mushy.
To serve, divide ice cream among 4 sauce dishes.
Ladle hot fudge sauce over ice cream.
Set warm strawberries on top of ice cream.
