Stovetop Baked Beans Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 tablespoon butter or stick margarine | ||
| Onion | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green bell pepper | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Ketchup | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Maple syrup | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Worcestershire sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Smoked seasoning | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Prepared mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Red beans | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Great northern beans | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
Directions
1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; saute 4 minutes. Stir in ketchup and remaining ingredients; bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
