Ingredients
| About 1 pound beef top round or sirloin tip | ||
| Dry red wine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), pressed | |
| Minced ginger | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salad oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Celery | 1 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| 1 medium-size red or green bell pepper, seeded and cut into 1-inch squares | ||
| Water chestnuts | 1 Can (10oz), drained | |
| Green onions | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce | ||
| Hot cooked fresh or frozen spinach | ||
Directions
Slice meat into thin strips and place in a shallow dish.
Stir together wine, soy, garlic, and ginger; pour over meat and let stand for about 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a wok or wide frying pan over high heat; add meat and marinade and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes.
Lift out meat and set aside.
At once add celery, bell pepper, water chestnuts, onion, and hoisin.
Stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp (2 to 3 more minutes).
Return meat and any liquid to pan; stir until heated through.
Serve immediately over hot cooked spinach.
