 Salad oil3 Tablespoon
 Garlic1 Clove (5gm), mashed
 6 green onions, white and green parts, minced
 1/4 pound lean boneless pork, cut in small, thin strips
 Soy sauce4 Tablespoon
 Sugar1 Tablespoon
 Lemon juice2 Tablespoon
 Water chestnuts1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced
 Salt To Taste
 Ground pepper1 To taste
 Shredded lettuce

Directions

Heat the salad oil in a wok or a large frying pan.
Cook, stirring constantly, the garlic and the green onions until they are golden brown.
Add the pork.
Stir-fry until the pork is browned on all sides.
Stir in the soy sauce, sugar and lemon juice.
Stir-fry for 1 minute.
Lower the heat, cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
Add the water chestnuts and salt and pepper.
Stir-fry for 2 more minutes.
Pile on shredded lettuce and serve immediately.
