Ingredients
| Salad oil | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), mashed | |
| 6 green onions, white and green parts, minced | ||
| 1/4 pound lean boneless pork, cut in small, thin strips | ||
| Soy sauce | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Water chestnuts | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Ground pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Shredded lettuce | ||
Directions
Heat the salad oil in a wok or a large frying pan.
Cook, stirring constantly, the garlic and the green onions until they are golden brown.
Add the pork.
Stir-fry until the pork is browned on all sides.
Stir in the soy sauce, sugar and lemon juice.
Stir-fry for 1 minute.
Lower the heat, cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
Add the water chestnuts and salt and pepper.
Stir-fry for 2 more minutes.
Pile on shredded lettuce and serve immediately.
