Stir Fried Ham And Spinach Recipe
I have just never cooked this Stir Fried Ham And Spinach before and hence was a bit cynical about the result. But from the very fact that I am posting this recipe, you can understand how successful my Stir Fried Ham And Spinach turned out to be. Prepare it now and be awed with the result!
Ingredients
1/2 pound baked ham
1 pound spinach
1 scallion stalk
1/2 garlic clove
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 tablespoons stock
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
1. Cut ham in 1/2 inch cubes. Stem spinach, leaving leaves whole. Mince scallion and garlic. Blend cornstarch, sugar, soy sauce and cold water to a paste.
2. Heat oil. Add salt, then garlic and scallion; stir fry to brown lightly. Add ham and stir fry to heat through.
3. Add spinach; stir fry a few times to coat with oil (about 1/2 minute). Then add stock and cook, covered, until spinach softens slightly but is not limp (1 to 2 minutes).
4. Stir in cornstarch paste to thicken.
