Stewed Bean Curd Recipe

Ingredients
5 squares bean curd
6 cups water
1 pound pork, sliced thin
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1 package frozen peas
1/2 pound mushrooms, cut into slices
1 teaspoon salt
2 stalks scallions, cut into 1 inch sections
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cups chicken broth
Directions
Slice the bean curds across and then quarter the slices.
Put in a saucepan and add enough water to cover the bean curds.
Bring to a fast boil and continue to boil for 1/2 hour.
Pour through a fine sieve and drain the curds.
Return them to the saucepan and add all the other ingredients.
Turn the heat high and bring to a boil.
Cover, lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve in a deep bowl.
