Ingredients
1-1/2 lbs. pork butt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
2/3 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
Directions
Dice pork into 1-inch cubes.
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat 1 minute.
Stir-fry garlic until golden, 30 seconds.
Remove and discard.
Stir-fry pork cubes 3 minutes.
Add wine and soy sauce.
Stir-fry until liquid begins to boil.
Reduce heat to low and add sugar.
Cover and simmer 1-1/2 hours.
Add a little water if necessary.
