Stella's Baked Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 large even-sized potatoes, the mealy type | ||
| Butter or Gruyere cheese | ||
Directions
Choose 6 large even-sized mealy-type potatoes.
Wash and scrub them.
Prick each one with a fork.
Pre-heat oven to 425°F, Reg 7.
Place potatoes on a rack in the oven.
Reduce heat to 400CF, Reg 6.
Bake for 1 hour.
Turn out the oven if they are to be left any longer.
These must be baked the night of the dinner; they cannot be reheated.
To serve.
Slash a cross in the top of each potato, and squeeze it from both ends with your hands.
Put a lump of butter in the opened potato, or grated Gruyere cheese.
