Steamed Christmas Pudding Recipe
I am in love with this Steamed Christmas Pudding recipe as it brings such rave comments everytime I make it. I will prepare this Steamed Christmas Pudding as Dessert for a get-together I am soon going to host. I cant believe you just have not tried my Steamed Christmas Pudding recipe, yet.
Ingredients
1 cup Pillsbury's Best All Purpose or Unbleached Flour
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground ginger
Dash ground cloves
3 tablespoons cooking oil
1/2 cup raisins or chopped dates
1/4 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons molasses
Directions
In bowl, combine all ingredients.
Mix until dry ingredients are moistened.
Spoon into well greased (not oiled) 1 quart mold or casserole or 6 cup fluted tube pan.
Cover with lid or foil.
Place on rack in large steamer or kettle.
Pour boiling water into steamer until 2 inches deep; cover.
Reduce heat to low.
Steam 1 1/2 to 2 hours until pudding springs back when lightly touched in center.
Cut in slices.
Serve hot, with Hard, Lemon or Nutmeg Sauce.
